How to Install Windows 10 on a MacBook Pro

If you have a newer Windows installer version, it should set up an EFI NTFS partition, which means you won't need to do this next step. However, if your Windows 10 USB stick is older (like mine was from 2015), the installer may try to create an MBR partition for you, which won't boot on a Mac Pro 5,1.

Assuming you have a Windows 10 USB flash drive created by yourself or one of the official USB sticks from Microsoft, you can follow these steps. First, connect your Windows 10 USB stick to your MacBook Pro and restart it while holding down the 'Option' key (also known as the 'Alt' key). This will allow you to select which boot device to use.

Once you've selected the Windows 10 USB stick, you'll be taken to the installation menu. Select the language you want to install in and then click on the 'Next' button.
